On this trip to Saint-Émilion from Bordeaux, we will visit the iconic Monolithic Church and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in Bordeaux and travel to the medieval town of Saint-Émilion. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes, during which we will share interesting facts about the region and its renowned wines.

Upon arrival in Saint-Émilion, we will embark on a walking tour of its historic centre, a World Heritage Site. The first stop will be the Trinity Chapel, where we will observe the blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles in its medieval paintings.

Next, we will visit the Monolithic Church, an underground church carved into the rock by over 50 monks. We will explore the vaults and pillars of its catacombs.

After the underground visit, we will proceed to a local winery for a tasting of 3 Grand Cru wines, learning about their production and origins.

Lastly, we will return to Bordeaux, concluding the trip after a total duration of 5 hours.
