Teotihuacán Hot Air Balloon Ride

On this hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán, you'll discover the archaeological ruins of one of Mesoamerica's most important civilisations from the air.

Activity Details

Following a meeting in Mexico City, travel by minibus to the take-off area for the hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán. There, you will enjoy coffee while observing the balloon fill with air, after which you will ascend into the basket for your journey, which will last between 30 minutes and an hour depending on weather conditions.

During the flight, view the Avenue of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun, and the Quetzalcoatl Temple. Upon landing, celebrate with sparkling wine and a buffet breakfast at La Higuera restaurant. You will receive a certificate for your first balloon flight.

You will have 2 hours of free time to explore the ruins of Teotihuacán on foot or join a guided tour with a Mexica culture expert. Additionally, participate in a craft workshop to learn about local customs, the use of obsidian, the agave plant, and enjoy a tasting of pulque, tequila, nopal liqueur and mezcal.

The activity concludes with a return by minibus to Mexico City after approximately 8 hours.
