At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Akureyri and travel inland to the Askja volcano.

During the tour, enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we drive through the Lake Myvatn area to the Hrossaborg crater, taking the mountain road to Herðubreiðalindir, a green oasis in a barren volcanic landscape.

Learn about the legend of the outlaw Fjalla-Eyvindur during our visit to Herðubreiðalindir. The tour continues through Iceland’s lunar-like terrain, used by NASA for astronaut training.

Upon arrival at the Askja volcano, we will walk along trails surrounding its craters and lakes, stopping at Askja and the smaller Viti. Additionally, enjoy a bath in a hot springs lagoon for relaxation.

Before returning, we will visit the Drekagil canyon, nestled between black walls.

We will conclude the excursion back in Akureyri at 8 pm.
