Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Akureyri at the designated time and set off on a tour around the essential spots in the Diamond Circle: Dettifoss, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn, and the Ásbyrgi Canyon.

The first stop will be Goðafoss, known as the "Waterfall of the Gods." While it's not the largest in the country, it remains a stunning sight.

Next is Lake Mývatn and its volcanic surroundings, including Hverir, the most active geothermal area in Iceland, characterized by intense sulfur scents and steam emissions. We will also visit the Viti crater near the Krafla Volcano.

Our journey continues to Dettifoss Waterfall, renowned for its powerful flow of 200 cubic metres of water per second, located in a remote area.

Through the Jökulsárgljúfur Canyon, we will reach the Vesturdalur Valley to witness the Whispering Cliffs (Hljóðaklettar), known for their unique volcanic formations resembling beehives.

In the final part of our trip, we will visit the horseshoe-shaped Ásbyrgi Canyon, steeped in local legend. We'll then head to Húsavík for some free time before returning to Akureyri, concluding our tour after a total of 9 hours.
