Northern Lights Tour + Whale Watching

This activity combines the main attractions of northern Iceland in winter: seeing the Northern Lights and going whale watching in the Eyjafjord!

Northern Lights Tour + Whale Watching

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Akureyri to start our Northern Lights tour and whale-watching activity. First, we'll travel to the Eyjafjord, where we'll board a boat to watch whales and seabirds. The Eyjafjord is the largest fjord in the country and a prime location for whale watching in Iceland. During this 3-hour trip, we will provide information about the cetaceans and answer questions.

After the boat ride, we'll proceed to the outskirts of Akureyri to view the Northern Lights. We will select the best location based on weather conditions to maximize your chances of seeing this natural phenomenon. Finally, we'll return you to your hotel in Akureyri, approximately 6 hours after the start of the tour.
