Diamond Circle Adventure

Your journey will commence with a pickup from your accommodation in Akureyri at the scheduled time, leading us into the remarkable Diamond Circle region of northern Iceland.

Our first highlight will be Godafoss Waterfall, often referred to as the "waterfall of the gods." This significant site not only boasts stunning views but is also known as the site marking Iceland's Christianization. After immersing ourselves in its history, we will head to Lake Mývatn, where the unique volcanic landscape awaits us.

Next, we’ll proceed to the Reykjadalur Valley and make a stop at the Skutustadir Craters. Continuing on the Diamond Circle, we’ll explore Dimmuborgir, renowned for its striking lava formations dating back over two millennia. Here, we will stroll through the "dark castles" and visit the Grjótagjá Cave.

Among the breathtaking sites, we will also visit the Selfoss and Dettifoss waterfalls, both considered among Iceland's most spectacular cascades. In the concluding segment of our journey, we’ll investigate the hot springs of Grjótagja. With some free time, you’ll have the option to enjoy a relaxing soak in the thermal baths located near Lake Mývatn.

As we wrap up our adventure, we will pass by Eyjafjordur, where its majestic fjord will offer a perfect backdrop for photographs. After this scenic stop, we will return you to your hotel in Akureyri, marking the end of our enriching 9-hour tour.
