Tour to Tayma
Between 7 and 8 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Al-Ula and drive to the archaeological site of Tayma, approximately a 2-hour drive. You will visit one of the oldest human settlements in Saudi Arabia.
On the way, we will make several stops for you to explore notable sites, including Bir Haddaj, the largest water well in the country, and the palaces of Al Ridham and Al Hamra.
Upon arrival in Tayma, we will visit the walls, which date back to the 7th century B.C.. This settlement was prosperous due to its strategic location within an oasis and as a convergence of trade routes.
After viewing the walls, lunch will be provided at a restaurant featuring different delicacies of Saudi gastronomy.
The next visit will be to the ruins of the Qasr Al Romman palace, previously occupied by local governors. We will then explore the Al Fajr Museum, which houses artifacts relevant to the history of Tayma.
The excursion will conclude between 4 and 5 pm, after which we will return you to your hotel.
