Snowshoe Trek in Banff

When making your reservation, you can choose between two Banff snowshoeing tours. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off, transport by bus or minibus, snowshoe and pole rental, and an English-speaking guide.

Here are the specifics of each option:

Trek through Paint Pots

At your chosen time, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and head west to the Kootenay National Park, about half an hour from the city. Prepare for a day in the Canadian wilderness.

After equipping ourselves, we'll embark on a 3-km (1.86-mile) snowshoe hike. The trek allows us to experience the snow while viewing the historic Paint Pots and the frozen lakes of Banff.

The Paint Pots are mineral deposits used by early settlers for painting rocks. We’ll take a break for hot chocolate and maple syrup candy to warm up!

The journey concludes back at the starting point, followed by a return minibus ride to the hotels in Banff, totaling 4 hours of activity.

Trek through Marble Canyon

At your selected time, we meet at your hotel and head to Kootenay National Park for a snowshoeing tour in Marble Canyon.

While hiking, you'll see the 40-meter (131-foot) limestone gorge shaped by Tokumn Creek over centuries. We’ll share interesting facts about the surrounding natural environment. Look for tracks of hares, moose, or wolves!

After the hike, enjoy hot maple syrup poured into snow to create a sweet frozen candy.

After 4 hours of activity, we’ll return you to your hotel in Banff.
