First, we will visit Sainte Cecile Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside, we will explore its Gothic-style paintings and artworks. It is the largest brick cathedral in the world, featuring vaults and sidewalls that depict stories of the Creation, the Last Judgement, and the Resurrection.
The tour continues to the Palais de la Berbie, a 13th-century palace that was the bishop's residence and now houses the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. This museum showcases works by the renowned post-impressionist painter born in Albi. We will also enjoy the gardens of the Palais de la Berbie.
Next, we will walk through the historic centre and along the banks of the Tarn, reaching the Pont Vieux, one of the oldest bridges in France, with construction beginning in 1040.
