Join us on a tour from Alcocéber to the Maestrazgo Mining Park and the town of Culla, exploring the history of miners and the former residence of the Knights Templar.
Description
The adventure begins at the Alcocéber Tourist Office, where the excursion to the Maestrazgo Mining Park and the town of Culla will commence.
Upon arrival at the Maestrazgo Mining Park, participants will board a train to the entrance of the Victoria mine. After putting on safety gear, a walking tour through the underground tunnel will provide insights into the miners' past.
During the tour, participants will see original tools and interact with former miners who will share their experiences, offering a deeper understanding of life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.
Next, the group will return to the surface and take another train ride to the Esperanza mine, where geological phenomena, stalactites, and stalagmites can be observed for approximately 20 minutes.
Before concluding the excursion, a visit to Culla, a medieval town associated with the Order of the Temple, will take place. The historic center is recognized as a Site of Cultural Interest, featuring highlights such as the 11th-century Muslim castle, the Comendador's granary, and the former hospital.
The journey will conclude with a return to Alcocéber, approximately 5 hours after departure.
