Day Trip to Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre

Description

Our adventure begins after we meet at the Alcocéber Tourist Office at the designated time for our journey to Traiguera and Cervera del Maestre.

The trip to Traiguera will take approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival, we will visit an olive oil cellar featuring over 100 ancient olive trees, including the historic Sinfo olive tree, which is one of the oldest in Europe.

We will learn about the processes of olive oil production and refinement and conclude with an olive oil tasting paired with local sausages.

Next, we will head to Cervera del Maestre, where we will explore the Oil Interpretation Center, showcasing tools used by farmers in olive tree cultivation.

A guided tour of Cervera del Maestre will highlight landmarks, including the Church of the Assumption, remnants of the medieval marketplace, and the exterior of the 12th-century castle.

Before returning to Alcocéber, we'll revisit Traiguera to see the Real Santuario Virgen Fuente de la Salud, recognized as a Cultural Interest site in 2007, and explore its history.

Our five-hour journey will conclude as we return to our starting point in Alcocéber.
