Jaén has the highest number of fortresses in Spain. Your entry to the castle allows you to explore one of the most significant sites in the province.

The entrance ticket includes an audioguide in English, which provides insights into the history of various rooms within the castle. Key areas include the Chapter Room, featuring figures of friars from the Rule of Saint Benedict, an important medieval order.

The stables showcase garments and protective equipment used by riders and horses. The audio guide also covers other significant parts, including the armoury and cisterns.

Before concluding your visit, which lasts approximately one hour, it is recommended to visit the Torre del Homenaje. Here, the Hall of Audiences is notable, and you can ascend to the viewpoint of the terrace for panoramic views of Alcaudete.
