Description

Jaén is the Spanish province with the greatest number of fortresses. You'll visit one of the most spectacular sites in Jaén with your entry to the castle.

The entrance ticket includes an audioguide in English that will allow you to learn about the history of the castle's rooms. Among them is the Chapter Room, where you'll see figures of friars dressed in the garments of the Rule of Saint Benedict. This order was significant during medieval times.

You can't miss the stables, where you'll see the garments and protective equipment for riders and horses. The audio guide will also showcase other important parts of the castle, such as the armoury and cisterns.

Before finishing your visit, which lasts about an hour, we recommend you go to the Torre del Homenaje. Here you can admire the decoration of the Hall of Audiences and go up to the viewpoint of the terrace for panoramic views of Alcaudete.

The Alcaudete Castle is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm.
