Day 1: Addis Ababa

Upon landing at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you'll be welcomed before heading to an Addis Ababa hotel for your first night.

Day 2: Addis Ababa - Rock-Hewn Churches, Lalibela

After breakfast, a flight to Lalibela will take you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring rock-hewn churches. Lunch at local restaurants and visit sacred temples like Biete Medhane Alem and Biete Maryam, followed by hotel stay in Lalibela.

Day 3: Lalibela - Yemrehana Krestos - Rock-Hewn Churches, Lalibela

Breakfast followed by a visit to Yemrehana Krestos, an ancient cave church. Lunch will be provided before exploring Lalibela’s southeastern churches, including Biete Giyorgis, before returning to Lalibela hotel.

Day 4: Lalibela - Asheton St. Maryam Monastery - Lalibela

After breakfast, 2-hour hike to Asheton St. Maryam Monastery at 3,200 meters. After lunch at a local restaurant, we'll observe local wildlife and return to the hotel.

Day 5: Lalibela - Bahir Dar

Post-breakfast, you'll drive to Bahir Dar, a 6-7 hour journey. Check in to your hotel, with the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 6: Bahir Dar - Lake Tana - Ura Kidane Mehret - Blue Nile Falls

Following breakfast, enjoy a boat ride to Ura Kidane Mihret Monastery, with lunch afterwards. Visit Blue Nile Falls and explore the local market in Bahir Dar before returning to your hotel.

Day 7: Bahir Dar - Gondar

After breakfast, a 3-hour drive to Gondar to visit Fasil Ghebi, a UNESCO site with six castles. Explore Debre Birhan Selassie Church murals and check into your hotel.

Day 8: Gondar - Simien National Park

Depart Gondar, arriving at Simien National Park for a 2-3 hour hike at Sankaber. Spot local flora and fauna before staying overnight at Simien Lodge.

Day 9: Simien National Park - Gondar - Addis Ababa

After breakfast, fly back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy a tour of significant sights before being dropped off at Bole International Airport.

This tour does not include international flights. Book international flights for the same day as the tour's start. The international departure should be after 9:30 pm on the 9th day. All domestic flights from Addis Ababa to Lalibela and Gondar are included.
