Discover the historical heritage of this city founded by Alexander the Great, where Greek, Roman, and Egyptian cultures mix.
Itinerary
After picking you up at your hotel or the port in Alexandria, we will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The citadel was constructed in the 15th century using remnants from the destroyed lighthouse.
Next, we'll explore the Kom el Shoqafa catacombs, a Roman necropolis featuring remarkable reliefs that blend Egyptian and Greco-Roman styles. Nearby, we will also see Pompey's Pillar, a remnant of the ancient temple dedicated to the god Serapis.
Afterwards, we will have lunch by the Mediterranean, enjoying Alexandrian specialties such as fish and rice with seafood. In the evening, the tour continues to the New Alexandria Library, a modern tribute to the ancient library that housed one of the world's most important papyrus collections.
After the guided tour of Alexandria, we will return you to your hotel or the port.

We will pick you up from your hotel or the port if you arrive by cruise ship. Please specify your preferred pick-up location when making your reservation.
