Alghero Bike Tour

Upon booking, participants can select from two uniquely crafted routes detailed below. Each tour lasts approximately 4 hours and includes provisions for bike and helmet rental, guidance from an English-speaking expert, as well as a snack and refreshments.

Coastal Exploration Tour

The journey begins on the breathtaking coast of Alghero, commencing with a ride through the expansive Porto Conte Regional Park, which hugs the shoreline of Sardinia. As we traverse this enchanting area, participants will have the opportunity to appreciate the lush vegetation, natural caves, and secluded beaches along the way.

With the beautiful Mediterranean Sea as our backdrop, we will stop at hidden shorelines and explore the remnants of a significant military outpost from World War II, where you can observe weapons, tunnels, and a bunker. Our ascent to a scenic viewpoint will reward us with magnificent views of Porto Conte Bay and Capo Caccio. Upon returning to Alghero, guests will enjoy a selection of local Sardinian delicacies before concluding the tour.

Archaeological Insight Tour

This bike tour kicks off from central Alghero, leading us to the remarkable Palmavera Complex, which is rooted in the Bronze Age. Participants will cycle through this collection of limestone and sandstone structures, known locally as nuraghes, while gaining insights into their historical significance.

We will delve into the functions of these buildings and explore the rituals associated with the ancient community that once occupied this site, abandoned after a devastating fire. With a deeper understanding of Palmavera, we will conclude our adventure by cycling back to the starting point for a delightful snack featuring traditional local products.
