Algiers Kasbah Guided Tour

We'll meet up next to the statue of Bologhine Ben Ziri, founder of the Amazigh dynasty of the Ziris. From this sculpture, we head to the upper part of the Algiers Kasbah: a citadel declared a World Heritage Site.

As we walk through the narrow streets of this neighborhood, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, we'll notice the traditional Arab houses that line them. During the walk, we'll also pass numerous stores showcasing traditional Algerian craftsmanship.

We'll continue through the Kasbah of Algiers in front of the Ketchaoua mosque, admiring its elegant facade and colorful tiles that blend various shapes in vivid shades of purple, green, and blue.

The route will then take us into the lower part of the kasbah, where we'll visit the magnificent Palace of Rais, also known as Bastion 23. Inside this 16th-century complex, formed by three palaces and six luxurious mansions, we'll learn about the history of its inhabitants.

Finally, at 12 pm, we'll conclude the tour by walking through the main streets of the lower part of the kasbah.
