Algiers Kasbah Guided Tour

We'll meet up next to the statue of Bologhine Ben Ziri, founder of the Amazigh dynasty of the Ziris. From this sculpture, we head to the upper part of the Algiers Kasbah, a beautiful citadel declared a World Heritage Site.

During our walk through the narrow streets of this neighborhood on the Mediterranean Sea, we'll see traditional Arab houses and pass various stores showcasing Algerian craftsmanship.

The guided tour continues in front of the Ketchaoua mosque, where we'll admire its elegant facade, highlighted by colorful tiles in shades of purple, green, and blue.

Next, we'll visit the lower part of the kasbah and enter the Palace of Rais, also known as Bastion 23. This monumental 16th-century complex consists of three palaces and six mansions, where we will explore the history of its notable inhabitants along with intriguing stories of conspiracy and romance.

The tour concludes at 12 pm, walking through the main streets of the lower part of the kasbah.
