Best of Algiers Tour
At 9 am, our tour begins with a hotel pickup in Algiers, followed by a visit to the old town. The tour includes a guided visit of the Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, highlighting its historical and cultural significance. Participants will explore its narrow streets, learning about the neighborhood's history related to Mediterranean trade.
The tour continues to the Ketchaoua Mosque, established in the 15th century, where we will appreciate the decorative tiles on its façade. Next, we will proceed to the minor Basilica of Our Lady of Africa. Here, we will discuss its architectural features and its connection to the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseille.
From the Basilica, there will be a panoramic view of the Bay of Algiers. After taking in the sights, we will return to the city center for an hour of leisure time before heading to the Hamma Botanical Garden, where guests can enjoy the park's floral scents. The final stop will be at the Martyrs' Monument, built to commemorate Algeria's Independence from France, ideal for panoramic photos.
The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Algiers by 5 pm.
