Day Trip Details
We will meet at the Exhibition Room of La Lonja del Pescado (Sala d'Exposició de la Llonja del Peix) to board a bus to Guadalest. The journey is 60 km (37 mi) long, departing from the Mediterranean coast.
After approximately one hour, we will arrive at Fuentes del Algar, known for its waterfalls and biodiversity. This area is designated as a Protected Wetland Area. You will have free time to swim in the springs and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Next, we will visit the medieval village of Guadalest for a guided tour of its significant landmarks. You will learn about the San José Castle and view the baroque church and Town Hall Square. Guadalest has several museums, including the Museum of Microminiatures, Microgiant Museum, Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, and Ethnological Museum, which you may explore during your free time.
Following this, we will head to Altea, arriving in just half an hour. Here, we will tour the narrow cobbled streets of the historical center, admiring its white houses and the Consuelo Church. After the tour, you will have free time to explore viewpoints, the beach, and local cuisine.
We will conclude the 11-hour trip by returning to our starting point in Alicante.
