Visit one of the best-known Mediterranean islets of the Costa Blanca with this Tabarca Island Ferry from Alicante—make the journey in just 1 hour!
Alicante to Tabarca Island Ferry
At the time of your choice, you'll sail from the port of Alicante to the island of Tabarca, one of the most popular in Costa Blanca. During the 1-hour ferry trip from Alicante to Tabarca, you'll enjoy the underwater view of the boat (depending on availability, as not all boats have this feature). You'll see the fish that live in this area of the Mediterranean Sea.
Once you have docked in Tabarca, you can explore the island at your leisure. In the afternoon, at the time you choose, you can take the ferry back to the port of Alicante on the same or a different day.
What to Do on Tabarca Island?
Tabarca is the biggest island in the Valencian Community and you can relax here, enjoying the gentle Mediterranean breeze. The location has around 60 inhabitants. We recommend a walk through the streets of the village situated at the western end of the island, where you'll find the church of San Pedro and San Pablo. It's also worth visiting the Museum of Nueva Tabarca, which houses various archaeological pieces found in this part of the Mediterranean.
To satisfy your appetite, we suggest you try the delicious rice dishes with lobster served in the village restaurants. If you feel like walking, you can also visit the easternmost points of the island to see the Tabarca lighthouse.
Return Ferry Schedule
The return trip from Tabarca Island to Alicante departs at 4 pm. The return trip is open, so you can board the ferry back on the same day as your outward journey or on subsequent days.
