Douro River Rabelo Boat Ride

At your chosen time, we'll meet you at the dock on Rua da Praia in Pinhão. We'll welcome you aboard the rabelo, a traditional Portuguese boat that has been used in the villages along the Douro River since the 18th century.

We'll set off eastbound on our relaxing boat ride through the waters bordering Pinhão. As we sail along the Douro, you'll see the numerous bridges that cross it, as well as the vineyards and wineries that stretch along the valley. There is a possibility of spotting a peregrine falcon or a golden eagle.

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose either a 1 or 2-hour rabelo boat ride. The longer tour includes a glass of wine and an audio guide.

Once our rabelo boat ride is completed, we'll say our goodbyes and disembark at the meeting point.

Boat Schedule

During booking, you'll need to select your preferred time for the rabelo boat ride on the Douro River. The available times are:

1-hour boat ride: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm. From April to September, an additional time at 5:30 pm is available.2-hour boat ride: 10:30 am or 2:30 pm.
