On our Fuentes de Invierno Snowshoeing Tour, we will explore the Cantabrian mountain range and experience winter adventure in the Asturian mountains.

Fuentes de Invierno Snowshoeing Tour

We will meet at 11 am at the La Braña restaurant in the Asturian village of La Raya. The snowshoeing tour will start at the Fuentes de Invierno ski resort.

The tour begins with a safety briefing and instruction on walking in snowshoes. Participants will walk for almost 2 miles (3 kilometers) around the base of either Ausentes or Torres Peak, depending on weather conditions.

During this exploration, participants will learn to navigate the snowy terrain while ascending through trails of snow, entering the valley and glacial cirque of the mountain pass, and passing areas covered in snow.

In addition to physical exercise, we will share interesting information about snow, such as the hexagonal structure of snowflakes.

After 2 hours of snowshoeing in the Cantabrian Mountains, the activity will conclude at 1 pm back at the starting point.
