At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza Duomo. Here, we'll begin a guided tour of Altamura that will allow us to explore this town in depth in the Murge plateau. Let's go!

Firstly, we'll observe the facade of Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, built in the Romanesque-Gothic style, and its two bell towers. We'll then walk towards Pontrelli Quarry, also known as Dinosaur Quarry, where the footprints of over 200 species were found.

We'll continue our journey into the past by reaching the historical centre. Together, we'll visit the house of musician Saverio Mercadante and the San Nicola dei Greci Church, which dominates the city's main street. Additionally, we'll discuss the history of Altamura, which has been inhabited for over 150,000 years, evidenced by the remains of Ciccillo.

To conclude, we'll visit a typical bakery to taste authentic Altamura bread, renowned globally for its unique flavor. After 2 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial starting point.
