At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza Duomo to begin the guided tour of Altamura. First, we'll observe the facade of Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, built in the Romanesque-Gothic style, along with its two bell towers. Next, we'll head to Pontrelli Quarry, also known as Dinosaur Quarry, where footprints of over 200 species were discovered.

Our journey will continue into the historical centre, visiting the house of musician Saverio Mercadante and the San Nicola dei Greci Church, which dominates the city's main street. We'll also discuss the history of Altamura, inhabited since ancient times, as we view the remains of Ciccillo, who lived over 150,000 years ago.

To conclude the tour, we'll visit a typical bakery to taste authentic Altamura bread. Its unique flavour will delight your taste buds!
