Explore the fertile banks of the Douro River and visit the towns of Amarante, Galafura, and Pinhão to admire the incredible scenery of this wine region. You can enjoy a pleasant boat ride and an exquisite wine tasting.

Douro Region Tour

At 9:15 am, we'll meet at the Casa da Calçada hotel in Amarante to start a tour of the historic center of this town in the Douro region.

We'll first cross the stone bridge of Sao Gonçalo and admire some of the churches and monuments in the old town, including the convent of Santa Clara.

Afterward, we'll take a minibus to Galafura, where we'll have views of the Douro basin. Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant, featuring a main course and wines of the region.

Then, we'll travel by minibus to a winery in the Pinhão region to learn about the local wine-making tradition. Activities will include visiting vineyards, touring the barrel rooms, and discovering the secrets of the local wine.

We'll conclude the tour with a tasting of different varieties of wine.

Finally, we will return to the departure point at 5 pm.
