Explore the fertile banks of the Douro River and visit the towns of Amarante, Galafura, and Pinhão to admire the incredible scenery of this wine region. You can enjoy a pleasant boat ride and an exquisite wine tasting.

Douro Region Tour

At 9.15 am, we'll meet at the Casa da Calçada hotel in Amarante to start a tour of the historic center of this town in the Douro region.

We'll first cross the stone bridge of Sao Gonçalo and admire some of the significant churches and monuments in the old town of Amarante, such as the convent of Santa Clara.

Afterward, we'll take a minibus to Galafura for views of the Douro basin. We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant, which includes a main course and wines of the region.

Next, we'll visit a winery in the Pinhão region to learn about the wine-making tradition here. We will see vineyards, visit the barrel rooms, and discover local wine secrets.

Finally, we'll enjoy a tasting of different varieties of wine before returning to the departure point at 5 pm.
