Admire the Renaissance decoration initiated by King Louis XII and continued by Francis I. The Château d'Amboise is linked by a tunnel to the Château de Clos-Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years, invited by Francis I.

The gardens contain the chapel of Saint Hubert, which houses Leonardo da Vinci's tomb. It is noted that he died in the arms of Francis I, who viewed him as a paternal figure.
