Prepare to be amazed by the treasures Jordan's desert has to offer with this tour of the desert castles and the Dead Sea. Do not miss this unique and magical experience.

Desert Castles & Dead Sea Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Amman and drive to the east of Jordan to begin this special tour. Discover two of the most emblematic desert castles built between the 7th and 11th centuries, which served as defence hubs, caravanserais, and palaces.

First, we'll visit Harranah Castle, built by the Umayyad caliphs, showcasing early Islamic architecture. Explore the courtyard and rooms while learning about Roman, Byzantine, and Sassanid influences.

Next, we'll head to Amra Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside this medieval palace, observe 8th-century fresco paintings depicting hunting scenes, ruler portraits, and zodiac schemes.

After the castle tours, we'll visit the Dead Sea, a lake bordered by Jordan, Israel, and Palestine, situated more than 400 meters below sea level. The high salt and mineral concentration in the water prevents life from developing, leading to its name.

You will have 2 hours of free time to swim in the Dead Sea and experience its benefits, known for their cosmetic and medical treatments for centuries. You'll be amazed by how easy it is to float.

The tour lasts between 9 to 9.5 hours, and we will drop you off at your hotel in Amman.
