Description

At the scheduled time on the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Amman for your adventure into the desert in the south of Jordan.

You'll arrive at Petra between 7:30 and 8 am. This ancient rock-cut city, originally known as Raqmu, was a capital of the Nabataean Kingdom from the 5th century BC.

Experience the desert scenery on horseback. Ride through narrow gorges to the iconic Treasury or Al Khazneh, believed to have been a royal mausoleum.

During the visit, you'll learn about the history of the Nabataean people and Petra's significance during Roman rule. The guided tour lasts approximately three to four hours.

After the tour, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant.

You will return to your hotel in Amman, arriving 12 hours after pickup.

When booking, you can choose between the tour with or without a ticket to the archaeological site, which costs approximately 71USD per person.
