Description

At the scheduled time on the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Amman ready for your adventure into the desert in the south of Jordan.

We'll reach Petra between 7:30 and 8 am. This ancient rock-cut city, originally known as Raqmu, was a thriving trading hub and the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom dating back as early as the 5th century BC.

Immerse yourself in the incredible desert scenery on horseback. You'll feel just like Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade! Riding through the narrow gorges that snake between towering rock faces, you'll reach the iconic Treasury or Al Khazneh, the best-known structure in the Petra archaeological complex, an elaborate temple that is believed to have been a royal mausoleum.

During the visit, you'll learn about the history of the Nabataean people and the importance of Petra during Roman rule. The guided tour will last approximately three to four hours.

Afterwards, you can take a well-earned break and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Feeling refreshed, you'll then make your way back to your hotel in Amman, where you'll arrive 12 hours after pickup.

How It Works?

You will embark on an adventure into Petra, with transportation included from your hotel in Amman. You can choose a tour option with or without an entry ticket to Petra's archaeological site. Keep in mind that the entry ticket costs approximately 71 USD per person.
