Description

At the scheduled time in the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Amman for your adventure into the desert in the south of Jordan.

You will reach Petra between 7:30 and 8 am. This ancient rock-cut city, originally known as Raqmu, was a significant trading hub and the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom from the 5th century BC.

Immerse yourself in the desert scenery on horseback. Riding through narrow gorges between towering rock faces, you'll arrive at the iconic Treasury or Al Khazneh, an elaborate temple believed to be a royal mausoleum.

During the visit, you will learn about the history of the Nabataean people and the significance of Petra during Roman rule. The guided tour will last approximately three to four hours.

After the tour, you can enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Feeling refreshed, you'll return to your hotel in Amman, arriving 12 hours after pickup.

Ticket to Petra

When booking, you can select a tour with or without a ticket to the archaeological site of Petra. The ticket costs approximately 71 USD per person.
