At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Amritsar to start an evening and attend the famous Palki Sahib ceremony at the Golden Temple.

Upon arrival at the shrine, we will share interesting facts about this spiritual center of the Sikh religion, which is an important place of pilgrimage for the faithful who must visit at least once in their lifetime.

As the sun sets, you'll experience the colors and lights that adorn the temple. The ceremony will begin inside the complex, featuring the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs.

Every evening, devotees carry this book from the main shrine to the Akal Takht Sahib, the inner sanctum, on a golden palanquin covered with flowers. The typical chanting of the Gurbani song will be part of the experience.

This ceremony is also repeated every morning before sunrise, with the Guru Granth Sahib brought back to the main shrine until sunset.
