- 4 - 5 Stunden
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Amritsar and transport you to the Wagah Border Closing Ceremony, showcasing the lowering of the flags of India and Pakistan.
The drive to the Wagah-Attari border takes approximately 40 minutes. This ceremony has occurred daily since 1948. Upon arrival, you'll be seated in the bleachers and offered a welcome drink. The event features the closing of the border fence, where border guards salute and perform various military movements and formations.
While observing the ceremony, we will explain the history of this ritual, also known as the "Beating Retreat Ceremony." Every evening before sunset, Indian and Pakistani soldiers gather for this 30-minute event, emphasizing patriotism and camaraderie.
After approximately 4-5 hours at the Wagah-Attari border, we will return you to your hotel in Amritsar and conclude the tour.
