The De Hoge Veluwe National Park is a significant natural site in the Netherlands. This trip from Amsterdam explores its diverse plants and wildlife.
Description
We will meet at 8 am at De Ruijterkade Oost in Amsterdam and travel for one hour to the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. You will partake in a guided tour through this large wooded area known as the Veluwe, where you may observe wild boar, deer, roe deer, mouflons, wolves, foxes, badgers, martens, and snakes. Additionally, you will learn about the park's various plants, which thrive in this rich ecosystem.
During the tour, you will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy refreshments or visit the Kröller-Müller Museum, which features the second-largest collection of Van Gogh's works worldwide. You may also opt for a bike ride around the National Park if desired.
The return to the departure point will be around 2 pm.
Museums
De Hoge Veluwe National Park includes two museums: the Kröller-Müller Museum, known for its extensive Van Gogh collection, and the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, designed by acclaimed Dutch architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage. If you prefer to visit one of these museums instead of the park tour, you can be dropped off at no extra cost by notifying the driver on the day of the tour.
