Wadden Sea Cruise and Seal Safari
Meet at Amsterdam River Cruise Dock and take a bus to the coast of the Wadden Sea. This 90-minute bus trip offers views of Holland's rural landscapes, including farms, villas, and windmills.
Upon reaching the coast, board the boat to cruise the Wadden Sea. From the boat, observe grey seals, porpoises, and other animals in the coastal wetlands and tidal system.
UNESCO has declared the Wadden Sea a Biosphere Reserve, making it a vital stop for millions of migratory birds. The sea is calm, with minimal wave action. During the cruise, sail along the levee that separates North Holland from Friesland, safeguarding the lowlands against flooding.
The boat trip concludes at the harbor of departure. Afterward, pass through the 17th-century village of Twisk on the way to the historic town of Medemblik on the IJsselmeer coast. Free time is provided to explore the narrow streets, visit the windmill, brewery, and castle, or enjoy a meal.
Return to Amsterdam by bus from Medemblik.
