Sail the Portage Glacier on a boat and discover Alaska's fauna on this visit to the Wildlife Conservation Center. We'll also tour Anchorage.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Anchorage and set off for one of the most beautiful areas of Alaska.
First, we'll drive along the impressive Seward Highway, which features a zigzagging route. Along the way, we'll take in the scenery of Cook Bay and the mountains of Chugach State Park.
Our first stop will be at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This center houses rescued animals including bears, bald eagles, moose, caribou, and wolves.
After visiting the Conservation Center, we'll proceed to Portage Glacier Lake for a 1-hour cruise. During summer, you may witness huge chunks of ice breaking off the glacier and falling into the lake.
Finally, we'll return you to your hotel, concluding this 5-hour activity.
