On this tour, you'll visit Monte Brasil and the natural pools of Biscoitos, along with tasting several traditional Azorean cheeses.

West Terceira Van Tour + Cheese Tasting

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Angra do Heroismo. Our first destination is Monte Brasil. During the 40-minute walking tour of the peninsula, we will explore its caldera and four peaks: Cruces, Facho, Zimbreiro, and Quebrada, known for its Atlantic whale watching opportunities.

Afterward, we will continue to Terceira, making short stops in the villages of São Mateus da Calheta and Santa Barbara for photos. We will then visit a farm to enjoy a tasting of local cheeses, including Queijo Vaquinha, and sample popular cheese brands from the Azores.

Our next stop is the natural pools of Biscoitos, where we will take a half-hour walking tour to learn about the geological formation of these lagoons, which is related to volcanic activity.

Finally, we will return to your hotel, arriving approximately 3-4 hours after pickup.
