On this tour, you'll visit Monte Brasil and the natural pools of Biscoitos, two key sites in West Terceira, along with tasting various traditional Azorean cheeses.

West Terceira Van Tour + Cheese Tasting

We will pick you up at the agreed time from your hotel in Angra do Heroismo. Nearby, we will explore Monte Brasil. This walking tour on the peninsula lasts 40 minutes, where we will investigate its caldera and four peaks: Cruces, Facho, Zimbreiro, and Quebrada, the latter known for Atlantic whale watching.

After Monte Brasil, we will travel to Terceira, making short stops in São Mateus da Calheta and Santa Barbara for photo opportunities. We will then proceed to a farm on the island to enjoy a tasting of Azorean cheese, including Queijo Vaquinha, featuring selections from notable local dairy brands.

Next, we will visit the natural pools of Biscoitos for a half-hour walking tour to understand how these lagoons were formed, which is related to volcanic activity. Finally, we will return you to your hotel, approximately 3-4 hours after pickup.
