On this tour, you'll visit Monte Brasil and the natural pools of Biscoitos, along with a tasting of traditional Azorean cheeses.

West Terceira Van Tour + Cheese Tasting

At the agreed time, pickup will be from your hotel in Angra do Heroismo, the capital of the island. Monte Brasil, located next to this city, will be our first stop. A 40-minute walking tour will take place on the peninsula of Monte Brasil, exploring its caldera and four peaks: Cruces, Facho, Zimbreiro, and Quebrada. Quebrada is known for its Atlantic whale watching opportunities.

Following Monte Brasil, the tour continues to Terceira with short stops for photographs in the villages of São Mateus da Calheta and Santa Barbara. Then, we will visit a local farm to sample cheese made in the Azores, including Queijo Vaquinha, showcasing a selection of key cheese brands popular in Portugal.

The tour proceeds to the natural pools of Biscoitos, where a half-hour walking tour will explain the formation of these lagoons, which is linked to volcanic activity.

Finally, the tour concludes with a return to your hotel, arriving 3-4 hours after pickup.
