On this tour, you'll visit Monte Brasil and the natural pools of Biscoitos, while also tasting traditional Azorean cheeses.

West Terceira Van Tour + Cheese Tasting

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Angra do Heroismo, the capital of the island. Monte Brasil, located next to the city, will be our first stop, where you will learn about its name.

We will take a 40-minute walking tour on the peninsula of Monte Brasil. This hill, formed around an extinct tuff volcano, features a caldera and four peaks: Cruces, Facho, Zimbreiro, and Quebrada, with the latter being known for Atlantic whale watching.

After Monte Brasil, our tour continues to Terceira. We'll make short stops for photographs in the villages of São Mateus da Calheta and Santa Barbara. Then we will visit a farm on the island’s interior for a tasting of cheese made in the Azores, including Queijo Vaquinha, featuring a selection of notable cheese brands from the archipelago.

Next, we will visit the natural pools of Biscoitos, where we'll have a half-hour walking tour to understand how these lagoons were formed, primarily due to volcanic activity.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel, arriving approximately 3-4 hours after pickup.
