Acaiá Cave+ Ilha Grande Lagoons Tour
- 7 Stunden
If you're in Ilha Grande, don't miss the opportunity to take a tour around the Acaiá Cave and its main lagoons. You'll fall in love with its dreamy landscapes!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Vila do Abraão pier, where a boat will be waiting to sail to the southwest of Ilha Grande, specifically to the Alcaiá Cave. The stops along the way will last between 30 and 40 minutes.
Our first stop is Lagoa Azul. This lagoon features shallow and transparent waters where thousands of small fish can be seen. This location is recognized for its resemblance to Port Antonio in Jamaica, the filming site of The Blue Lagoon. It is considered one of the 7 wonders of Ilha Grande.
Next, we will visit the Acaiá Cave, which is approximately 30 metres (98 feet) wide and 1 metre (3.2 feet) high. Access will involve descending about 10 metres (32 feet) through narrow passages.
Inside the cave, at 8 metres (26 feet) below sea level, water flows into an underground gallery, creating a beach of stones. The sunlight reflects on the water, generating a notable level of fluorescence.
We will then proceed to Lagoa Verde, characterized by its emerald waters and sandy-stone beach. This location is suitable for snorkelling.
Our last stop is at a restaurant on the beach, where you can enjoy a typical island meal based on fish and bananas. The tour lasts approximately 7 hours, concluding back at the meeting point.
