Nuclear Observatory & Southern Tourist Route Tour

On this nuclear observatory tour, we'll see Brazil's only nuclear power plants alongside some of the most beautiful beaches in the south of Angra dos Reis.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at Cais Santa Luzia to begin this tour of Angra dos Reis's surroundings.

Our first stop will be the Angra Nuclear Power Plant, consisting of two nuclear reactors, Angra 1 and Angra 2, the only ones in the country. This location provides information about how nuclear reactors generate electricity.

Additionally, we will learn about the history of nuclear energy in Brazil and its relationship with society and the environment. Engage with informative videos, models, and interactive panels. After exploring the observatory, you will have a chance to take pictures during a coffee break.

Following the observatory, we will begin our tour of the Southern Tourist Route in Angra dos Reis. The first beach visit will be Praia do Laboratório, close to the power plants, where you will have free time to enjoy the warm waters.

Our next stop is Praia Brava, a beach with two sides: one with rough seas and the other more tranquil. You will have the chance to walk along the boardwalk and grab a bite to eat.

Lastly, after 5 to 6 hours, we'll return to our initial meeting point to conclude our tour.
