- 1 Bewertung
During this nuclear observatory journey, participants will have the opportunity to explore Brazil's sole nuclear power stations while also reveling in the stunning beaches of Angra dos Reis.
Tour Overview
We will gather at Cais Santa Luzia at the scheduled time to embark on an exploration of the stunning region surrounding Angra dos Reis.
Our adventure begins at the Angra Nuclear Power Plant, home to two reactors: Angra 1 and Angra 2. As the only nuclear facilities in the nation, this site offers intriguing insights into the process of how nuclear reactors produce energy.
In addition to discovering the mechanics of power generation, our tour will delve into the historical context of nuclear energy in Brazil and its impact on society and the environment. Interactive displays, video presentations, and models will enrich your understanding, followed by a coffee break allowing for picturesque moments.
Having grasped the fundamentals of electricity generation, we will journey along the Southern Tourist Route in Angra dos Reis, where relaxation at pristine beaches awaits!
Our first destination will be Praia do Laboratório, situated near the power facilities. Here, you can stroll through the lovely natural scenery and enjoy leisure time in the inviting waters, comparable in warmth to that of a hot spring. It's a true oasis!
Next, we will head to Praia Brava, known for its dual characteristics: one side featuring turbulent waves and the other a calmer ambiance. Besides taking in the beach's beauty, you'll have the opportunity to walk along the boardwalk and grab a meal.
After approximately 5 to 6 hours, we will make our way back to the original meeting point to conclude our enriching tour.
