Nuclear Observatory & Southern Tourist Route Tour

On this nuclear observatory tour, we'll visit Brazil's only nuclear power plants along with some of the beaches in Angra dos Reis.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we will meet at Cais Santa Luzia to begin the tour of Angra dos Reis's surroundings.

The first stop will be the Angra Nuclear Power Plant, which consists of two nuclear reactors, Angra 1 and Angra 2. This location provides information about how nuclear reactors generate electricity.

During the tour, we will discuss the history of nuclear energy in Brazil and its relationship with society and the environment. The observatory features informative videos, models, and interactive panels. After exploring, there will be time for pictures and a coffee break.

Next, we will tour the Southern Tourist Route in Angra dos Reis to relax on idyllic beaches.

The first beach visited will be Praia do Laboratório, near the power plants, where there will be a short walk and free time to enjoy the warm waters.

Our next stop is Praia Brava, a beach with both rough and calm sides. Participants can walk along the boardwalk and purchase food.

Ultimately, after 5 to 6 hours, we will return to our original meeting point to conclude the tour.
