Pico do Papagaio Sunrise Hike

On this hiking tour to Pico do Papagaio at sunrise, we'll climb to the summit of the second-highest peak in Ilha Grande while enjoying the sunrise.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet next to the São Sebastião Church to begin our hiking route through the forest to Pico do Papagaio.

The hike will last around 6 hours, allowing us to appreciate the flora and fauna of the Atlantic Rainforest. For the first 3 hours, we'll ascend to the summit of Pico do Papagaio, which is located 980 metres (3,215 ft.) above sea level.

We will take breaks to rest and hydrate as we progress toward the summit, where we will enjoy the sun's morning rays illuminating the landscape. You will have an hour and a half of free time at the summit to take photos and appreciate the views, including the famous Pedra da Gávea in Rio de Janeiro.

After taking photos and enjoying the experience, we will begin our descent back to the meeting point, concluding the tour after 8 hours.
