Pico do Papagaio Sunrise Hike

On this hiking tour to Pico do Papagaio at sunrise, we'll climb to the summit of the second-highest peak in Ilha Grande while witnessing the sun rise.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will meet next to the São Sebastião Church to begin our hiking route through the forest to Pico do Papagaio. This hike will last around 6 hours and allows for appreciation of the flora and fauna characteristic of the Atlantic Rainforest. The first 3 hours will lead us to the summit of Pico do Papagaio, which is 980 metres (3,215 ft.) above sea level.

We will make stops for rest and hydration as we progress towards the summit. Upon arriving, we will enjoy the sun's morning rays illuminating the landscape of Ilha Grande. You will have an hour and a half of free time at the summit to take photos and enjoy the views, including the famous Pedra da Gávea in Rio de Janeiro.

After our time at the top, we will begin our descent back to the meeting point, concluding the tour after approximately 8 hours.
