Antigua Guatemala Guided Walking Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Calle Oriente and begin exploring by foot the historic streets of this city that was the capital of Guatemala for two hundred years.
We'll tour this ancient colonial city accompanied by a guide who will share its history. Our journey starts at the church of La Merced, passing by the Arch of Santa Catalina, the convent cloister, and the church's nave, which are landmarks of the city.
Next, we will visit the Parque Central, a central square and popular meeting place, surrounded by notable buildings such as the City Hall, the Church of San José (formerly the Cathedral of Guatemala), the Archbishop's Palace, and the Portal del Comercio, historically significant for trade. The final stop on our tour will be at the Tanque de la Unión, a public laundry in colonial times.
At the end of our walking tour of Antigua Guatemala, we'll return to the meeting point, arriving three hours after we have started.
