Faxina Canyon hike

This hiking route has a moderate difficulty level, covering about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) to Faxina Canyon in São Luíz do Purunã, Balsa Nova. The hike features rocks over 400 million years old and marks the division between the first and second plateaus of Paraná. Participants will encounter trails, waterfalls, and natural viewpoints, with an option to take a 20-minute dip in the river depending on the season. The total duration of the activity is around 6 hours, concluding with a return to your hotel in Curitiba.

Araçatuba Peak Hike

This moderate difficulty option includes an 8-kilometre (5 miles) hike to Araçatuba, the tallest mountain in the southeast of Paraná at an altitude of 1673 metres (5488 feet), located in Tijucas do Sul. Hikers will observe unique mountain vegetation and experience the region's cold microclimate influenced by sea winds. Fog, rain showers, and sudden cold spells are common, and snow may occur in certain seasons. The hiking tour lasts about 10 hours, culminating with a return to your hotel in Curitiba.
