Ilha do Mel Tour

On this Ilha do Mel tour, we will head to Pontal do Paraná and board a boat to explore the landscapes of this island in Paranaguá Bay.

At 7 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Curitiba and drive to Pontal do Paraná by minibus. After an hour and a half, we will disembark and board a boat to Mel Island.

We will navigate around the island and disembark at the base of Morro das Conchas. From there, we will climb about 200 steps to reach the lighthouse built by Pedro II of Brazil in 1872. We will learn about its history while enjoying views of the beaches and vegetation of Mel Island.

Next, we will walk to a local restaurant for a typical lunch. After lunch, you will have three hours of free time to swim, sunbathe, and visit the island's craft shops. This time can also be used to visit the fortress of Nuestra Señora de los Placeres, an 18th-century military construction significant for the island's defense.

Finally, we will reconvene to return to the boat and drop you off at your hotel by 7 pm.
