Lapa & Monge State Park Tour

At 8 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Curitiba and drive southwest to Lapa. After an hour and a half drive, we will begin a guided tour of the historic center of Lapa. We will explore notable sites such as the parish church of San Antonio and the Ney Braga memorial, commemorating the important politician who was born in this town.

During the tour, we will discover the history behind the 'Woodpeckers' and the 'Maragatos', including details about the siege of Lapa which occurred in 1894. Our itinerary includes a visit to the Arms Museum, the São João Theatre, and the Lacerda House to learn about the lifestyle of a well-to-do family in 19th-century Paraná.

We will take a break for lunch at a restaurant, enjoying traditional dishes such as pork rinds, beans, and tropeiro. After lunch, we will return to the minibus and head to Monge State Park, a natural area with lush vegetation, caves, and deep canyons. This park has historical significance due to its association with the monk João Maria, who is attributed with various miracles.

The excursion will conclude with your drop-off at your hotel between 5 pm and 5:30 pm.
