On this hiking route along Sardinia's Costa Verde, we'll take a walk through this paradise of turquoise waters and sand dunes.

Costa Verde Hiking Route

We'll meet at the Parcheggio Capo Pecora car park, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the coast and steep cliffs. The hike will feature pink granite rocks, white sandy coves, and archaeological ruins.

This leisurely 4-hour itinerary will guide you through easily walkable coastal areas with short breaks. We will explore cliffs and white pebble coves and reach a watchtower with panoramic views over the sea.

During the hike, we will observe Mediterranean flora, including mastic trees, rockrose, olive trees, helichrysum, and tamarisk. We'll pass Spiaggia delle Uova beach to appreciate the stretch between Buggerru and Piscinas.

We will discover remains of ancient fortifications, the Domus de Janas, the archaeological site of the Tombs of Giants, and learn about the history of Sardinian banditry. Before concluding the tour, we will offer a small aperitif with Sardinian products, including cold meats, cheeses, and a glass of wine.

Our hiking route will conclude as we return to the starting point.
