2-Day Trip to Colca Canyon

Get to know one of the deepest canyons in the world on this 2-day trip to Colca Canyon. This tour offers a combination of nature, culture, and adventure, concluding in Cusco for further exploration of Peru.

Trip Details

Day 1

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and start our journey to Colca Canyon. After a breakfast stop, we'll arrive at the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint 6 hours later to admire the canyon and possibly spot condors.

We'll continue to Chivay, stopping at villages and viewpoints like Antahuilque and Choquetico to see Pre-Incan tombs. In Maca, we will interact with locals to learn about their traditions.

Before reaching Chivay, we'll visit the hot springs of Chacapi for a 30-minute relaxation. Upon arriving around noon, we will settle into accommodation located near the village's main square. You'll have the afternoon and night free to explore, visit hot springs, engage in activities like quad driving or horseriding, and enjoy local cuisine.

Day 2

After breakfast, we'll head to the upper part of Colca Canyon, passing through Tuti and Sibayo. We'll stop to see Callalli's castles and continue to Condroma Dam at 4737 meters (15541 feet). Our next stop is the Yauri Stone Forest, followed by Langui Lake.

We'll have a 50-minute stop in Sicuani for lunch before traveling for 3 hours to Cusco, passing through Andahuaylillas and Urcos before saying our goodbyes in the historical centre.

This tour includes 1 overnight stay with an included breakfast at Pandora Hostel (2 stars) or similar.

Trip Schedule

Pickup on the first day is at 2:30 am, with drop-off in Cusco between 4 pm and 4:30 pm on the second day.
