Travel through volcanic terrain to the Chapi Sanctuary & discover the faith of its pilgrims on this tour. We'll also visit the famous Uzuña Lagoon!

Chapi Sanctuary & Uzuña Lagoon Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at 7 am and board a minibus to the district of Chapi, approximately an hour and a half away.

During the trip, you'll admire the landscape of the Andes, featuring zigzagging paths and volcanoes such as Pichu Pichu, Coropina, Misti, and Huaynaputina.

After crossing the volcanic landscape, we'll reach the Virgin of Chapi Sanctuary, a pilgrimage site. We'll explore the reason for this religious worship while observing the esplanade, the tower, and the Chapel of Reconciliation.

Subsequently, we'll return to the minibus and descend towards the Yanaorco Dam, also known as the Uzuña Lagoon. There, you will have free time to enjoy a typical trout dish and experience a boat ride on the lagoon.

The day trip will conclude with our arrival back in Arequipa at approximately 5 pm.
