Chapi Sanctuary & Uzuña Lagoon Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at 7 am and board a minibus heading to the district of Chapi, located an hour and a half away.

During the trip, you'll admire the landscape of the Andes, characterized by zigzagging paths and volcanoes, including the Pichu Pichu, Coropina, Misti, and Huaynaputina.

Upon reaching the Virgin of Chapi Sanctuary, we will explore this significant religious site known for its many pilgrims. You will learn about the worship practices while viewing the great esplanade, tower, and Chapel of Reconciliation.

Next, we'll return to the minibus and descend to the Yanaorco Dam, also called Uzuña Lagoon. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy a typical trout dish and a boat ride on the lagoon.

The day trip will conclude with our return to Arequipa at approximately 5 pm.
