Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Arequipa, followed by a three-hour journey through the Salinas & Aguada National Reserve, stopping at the Patapampa viewpoint at 15,800 feet (4,830 meters). We will visit the lagoons before reaching Chivay, a traditional village at 11,800 feet (3,600 meters). In the afternoon, enjoy the Calera Hot Springs and then return to Chivay for a traditional dinner with local dances.

Day 2: Chivay - Maca - Yanque - Arequipa

Start with breakfast at your hotel in Chivay, then head to the Condor Cross to observe condors and views of the Colca Canyon. Afterward, return to Chivay with stops in the historic town of Maca and Yanque. Once back in Chivay, you will have free time for lunch before we return to Arequipa by approximately 5 pm.

You can choose between:

Hostel accommodation: private room with bathroom and hot water, options include Colca Inn or similar.Three-star hotel accommodation: private room, bathroom, wifi, and heating; options include Casa Andina Colca or similar.

Why not finish the tour in Puno?

Optionally, you can end your tour in Puno instead of Arequipa. This will include a 6-hour journey with stops at Patapampa and Lagunilla, concluding in Puno at approximately 7 pm.

Children under 3 years old

Children under 3 years old can join the tour for free, provided they sit on a parent's or guardian's lap during the bus rides.

Itinerary Changes
