Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arequipa, followed by a three-hour journey through the Salinas & Aguada National Reserve, with a stop at the Patapampa viewpoint (15,800 feet/4,830 meters). We will visit Chivay, a traditional village at 11,800 feet (3,600 meters), and in the afternoon, enjoy a dip in nearby hot springs. In the evening, a traditional dinner with typical dances will be provided.

Day 2: Chivay - Maca - Yanque - Arequipa

After breakfast in Chivay, the tour continues to the Condor Cross for an hour of views and wildlife observation. We will return to Chivay with stops in Maca, known for its Historic Monument status, and Yanque. You will have free time for lunch before returning to Arequipa, with the tour finishing around 5 pm.

Trip Accommodation

During booking, choose from three accommodation types:
House accommodation: stay with a family in Coporaque or Sibayo, including lunch and dinner.Hostel accommodation: private room with a bathroom and hot water at Colca Inn, Posada del Colca, or similar.Three-star hotel accommodation: private room, bathroom, wifi, and heating at Casa Andina Colca, Colcallaqta, Pozo del Cielo, or similar.

Why Not Finish the Tour in Puno?

Optionally, you can end your tour in Puno instead of Arequipa. This includes a 6-hour journey to Puno, stopping at Patapampa and Lagunilla. The tour concludes in Puno around 7 pm.

This tour is free for children under 3 years, provided they sit on their parent's or guardian's lap during bus journeys.
