Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay

After hotel pickup in Arequipa, we'll travel through the Colca Valley. We will stop at the Patapampa viewpoint, over 15,800 feet (4,830 meters) above sea level, after three hours in the Salinas & Aguada National Reserve. Next, we'll reach Chivay, located at over 11,800 feet (3,600 meters). In the afternoon, you can relax at the nearby Calera Hot Springs. The evening includes a traditional dinner with local dances.

Day 2: Chivay - Maca - Yanque - Arequipa

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Chivay before exploring the valley. Our first stop will be the Condor Cross, where we'll admire condors and views of Colca Canyon. We will then return to Chivay with stops in Maca, a Historic Monument of Peru, and Yanque. After free time for lunch in Chivay, we will head back to Arequipa, concluding the tour around 5 pm.

Accommodation

Accommodation options include:

Hostel accommodation: private room with bathroom and hot water (Colca Inn, Posada del Colca or similar).Three-star hotel accommodation: private room, bathroom, wifi, and heating (Casa Andina Colca, Colcallaqta, Pozo del Cielo or similar).

Why not finish the tour in Puno?

You can choose to finish in Puno instead of Arequipa. This option retains the same itinerary, but we'll head from Chivay to Puno, including stops at Patapampa and Lagunilla, concluding around 7 pm.

Children under 3 years old

This tour is free for children under 3 years old, provided they sit on their parent's or guardian's lap during bus journeys.

Itinerary Changes

Due to maintenance on the Arequipa - Colca Canyon - Puno route, there may be variations in the itinerary's departure and arrival times until February 2025. We will contact you one day before the tour to confirm.
