Colca Valley 2 Day Trip
Day 1: Arequipa - Colca Canyon - Chivay
Pickup from your accommodation in Arequipa is at 2:30 am. Travel for approximately three hours to Yanque for breakfast. After another hour and a half, arrive at the Condor Cross for views of condors and Colca Canyon, one of the world's deepest craters.
Continue to Maca, a small town with locals in traditional attire and a colonial-style church. Pass by pre-Inca terraces and arrive at the Valley's hot springs for relaxation before reaching Chivay, the capital of the Colca Valley, where you have the afternoon free to explore at over 9842 feet (3000 meters) above sea level.
Day 2: Chivay - Apurímac River - Arequipa
Start with breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Apurímac River, a two and a half hour journey. At 16,400 feet (5000 meters), enjoy a walk along the river, observing the landscape and wildlife.
Return to Chivay at midday for lunch (not included), then visit the Patapampa mountains and volcano before returning to Arequipa, dropping off in the city center around 6 pm.
Accommodation
The tour includes one night’s accommodation at Hotel Colca Llaqta or a similar hotel.
Hotel Pick Up
Hotel pickup is provided in central Arequipa; if not, meet at Plaza de Armas opposite the cathedral at 2:30 am.

The tour does not include the Colca Canyon tourist ticket (approximately 23 USD) or entrance to the hot springs (approximately 6 USD).
