Loncco Route Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa at 6:30 am to start the Loncco Route tour. You'll see natural landscapes and lesser-known places in Peru. The first stop will be the town of Quequeña, where we will visit the Martyrs' Museum, the petroglyphs of Guayalopo and Curlaca, which are over 1500 years old.

As we proceed, we'll explain the significance of the Loncco, a traditional character from Arequipa. We will visit the Soncomarca Hill viewpoint for views of the Arequipa terraces and offer the opportunity to enter the church of Quequeña. In Sogay, we will explore its palm-filled square and notable ashlar houses overlooking the Yarabamba River.

Next, we will head to the Uzuña lagoon in Polobaya for activities like boat trips, kayaking, or sport fishing. You'll have free time for lunch afterward. Then, we will visit Molleybaya to see historical remains and walk through its center, including the communal batán for textile processing and the square and church of Characato.

We will conclude with notable sites in Sabandía, including the church of the Virgen del Rosario and a 17th-century mill. The tour will end at approximately 5 pm near the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa.
