Arezzo Private Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Piazza del Duomo to begin a walking tour of the historic center of Arezzo. Ready to explore?

We'll start our private tour of Arezzo admiring the exterior of the Arezzo Cathedral, a temple whose construction began in the 13th century and lasted for almost 250 years.

Then, we'll head to Piazza Grande, which served as a set in the filming of Roberto Benigni's Oscar-winning film, Life is Beautiful. Here, you can see the facade of the Romanesque church of Santa Maria della Pieve, the Palace of the Lay Fraternity, and the arches of the passageway known as Loggiato di Vasari.

As we stroll through Arezzo, we'll also tell you about one of its illustrious characters, Giorgio Vasari, who is considered one of the first art historians, credited with coining the term 'Renaissance' in Italy.

Next, the tour will take us to Prato di Arezzo, the oldest park in the city. Built close to the Medici Fortress, it was originally a private space for the nobility. As we walk through this green space, you'll enjoy views of the monuments of Arezzo and the valley of Casentino.

After an hour and a half of walking, we'll return to the starting point and the private tour of Arezzo will end.
