Pittacum Vineyards & Winery Visit

At the designated time, we will meet at the entrance of Pittacum Vineyards & Winery, located behind the Parish Church of La Asunción de Arganza, for our guided tour.

The tour will start with a walk through the 80-year-old vineyard, where we will discover the significance of the Mencía grape variety in the winery's establishment. We will learn about the wine of El Bierzo and the recovery of old vines.

Next, we will enter the estate's 19th-century manor house to explore its rooms and view the barrels used for wine storage. Notably, a Roman medallion of Bacchus and an amphora called Pittacum were uncovered during the construction of the winery.

The tour will conclude with the popular wine tasting segment, where we will sample a Petit Pittacum and a Pittacum along with a typical regional snack.

After a 90-minute visit filled with insights into Pittacum's wines, we will conclude our tour at the winery's entrance.

Children under 18 can participate in the vineyard and winery visit. However, wine tasting with food pairing is exclusively for adults.
