Pittacum Vineyards & Winery Visit

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of Pittacum Vineyards & Winery, just behind the Parish Church of La Asunción de Arganza, for our guided visit.

Our tour will start with a stroll through the 80-year-old vineyard, exploring the significance of the Mencía grape variety in this region, along with insights into the wine of El Bierzo and the recovery of old vines.

Next, we will visit the estate's 19th-century manor house to see its rooms and the barrels where wine is stored. A Roman medallion of Bacchus and an amphora called Pittacum were discovered during construction.

We'll then enjoy the wine tasting, where we will sample a Petit Pittacum and a Pittacum accompanied by a regional snack.

After a 90-minute visit, we will conclude our tour at the winery's entrance.

Children under 18 can participate in this activity and visit the vineyards and winery. However, the wine tasting with food pairing is restricted to adults.
