Pittacum Vineyards & Winery Visit

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of Pittacum Vineyards & Winery, located behind the Parish Church of La Asunción de Arganza, for our guided visit.

The tour begins with a stroll through this 80-year-old vineyard while learning about the significance of the Mencía grape variety in this region. We will explore facts about the wine of El Bierzo and the recovery of old vines.

Next, we will enter the estate's 19th-century manor house to see its rooms and the barrels used for wine storage. A Roman medallion of Bacchus and an amphora called Pittacum were uncovered during the winery's construction.

We will then proceed to the wine tasting, where participants will sample a Petit Pittacum and a Pittacum along with a regional snack.

After this 90-minute visit focused on Pittacum's wines, we will conclude at the winery's entrance.

Children under 18 years old

Children under 18 can participate in the visit to the vineyards and the winery. However, the wine tasting and food pairing are reserved for adults.
