- 11 Stunden
Looking for something different to do in Page? In this activity, we'll enjoy an unforgettable hike around Buckskin Gulch, a spectacular canyon between Utah and Arizona.
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Page and, from here, head west.
After an hour-long drive, we'll arrive at the start of our hike around Buckskin Gulch Canyon. This gorge pass, located on the border between Utah and Arizona, goes through a huge canyon known for its intense red colour due to high concentrations of sandstone.
This challenging walk will take between 4 and 10 hours to complete, depending on the level of the group. We'll walk a total of between 6 and 16 kilometres (3.5-10 miles). We will explore an enchanting area among narrow sandstone walls.
During the hike, we'll enjoy views of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and admire unique petroglyphs created centuries ago by the area's ancient inhabitants.
We'll take a break halfway through the hike for a picnic-style lunch including sandwiches and energy bars. Afterward, we'll continue exploring Buckskin Gulch Canyon.
Finally, we'll walk back to the start of the hike and return to Page, arriving back at your hotel approximately 11 hours after the initial pickup.
