If you'd like to explore France's Little Rome, our Arles Private Tour is perfect for you. You'll see the city's main monuments and discover its fascinating history accompanied by an expert guide just for your group.

Arles Private Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the tourist office in Arles to start a walking tour of the historic centre of this town in the South of France.

During our private tour of Arles, we'll walk through the old town and stop in front of its most emblematic monuments to reveal its history. This is a personalised tour, allowing you to tell the guide which places you're most interested in visiting.

We'll start the guided tour by approaching the exterior of the Arles Amphitheatre, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world, where we'll discuss the gladiatorial fights that took place in this 1st-century arena.

Next, we'll see the structure of the ancient theatre, exploring the art and culture of the Roman Empire. We will also visit the Obélisque d'Arles, a red granite construction at the Place de la République, where you can see the Town Hall.

Afterwards, we can stop at the Church of St Trophime, a World Heritage Site, to observe the Romanesque details of the façade of this 12th-century temple.

We will also discuss Vincent Van Gogh, who lived in Arles for over a year and painted around 200 works. We'll see locations featured in his paintings, such as the Café de la Nuit.

After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll end our private tour of Arles by returning to the starting point.
