Discover a traditional Colombian town in the Risaralda Department on our day trip to Marsella. You'll admire the colonial architecture and visit an agricultural farm where local products are made.

Marsella Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Armenia and set off to Marsella, previously known as "Villa Rica de Segovia." En route, observe the coffee plantations of the Cauca River valley.

Upon arrival in Marsella, we will visit an agricultural farm, welcomed with a snack of patacones con hogao, made from the farm's produce. Following this, a tour of the cacao plantations and fruit trees will take place, with possible tasting of ripe fruits. You will then participate in an organic chocolate making workshop, where you will extract, roast, and grind cocoa beans.

After allowing the chocolate liquid to cool, you will prepare a cocoa drink to accompany a traditional lunch of sancocho, prepared with chicken and vegetables from the farm's garden.

We will then drive to the village's main square for a cup of Colombian coffee before touring Marsella to see notable sights such as the Mary Immaculate Church and the House of Culture, home to a National Heritage museum.

Finally, we will visit the Botanical Garden and the José María Cemetery, before returning to your hotel in Armenia, with a drop-off at 4:30 pm.
